Sunset Tour – Evening Kayak Tour
€56 per person
Enjoy paddling with us while the sun goes down.
Evening makes this tour serene and relaxing, perfect for the end of the day.
Our first stop will be a small Island called Vrnik with old quarries dating from Antiquity to later ones in the 20th century. Numerous buildings and art pieces in Korčula and nearby Dubrovnik were made from stone from Vrnik.
Our next stop will be an old Franciscan monastery on the island Badija which had a turbulent past but managed to keep its beauty.
Our last stop will be on a small island called Gubavac. This stop is reserved for enjoying the most beautiful Sunset and tasting a famous local White wine called “GRK” with canape sandwiches with anchovies, cheese, and cherry tomatoes all finished up with a homemade pastry called “Klašun” only to be eaten on Korčula Island.
Complimentary – Wine tasting – famous white wine called “GRK” from Lumbarda, canape sandwiches with anchovies, cheese, and cherry tomatoes, and a homemade local pastry called “Klašun”.

ITINERARY
Experience & Equipment
Do I need to be an expert kayaker?
Not at all! Our tours are rated “Easy” to “Moderate.” We start every session with a 20-minute safety briefing and technical intro. If you can sit comfortably and move your arms, you’re ready to go.
What kind of kayaks do you use?
We pride ourselves on professional gear. We use P&H (Leo /Virgo) or Venture (Jura/Capella) for single paddlers and Prijon Poseidon for doubles. These are stable, “sit-in” sea kayaks designed to glide smoothly through the Adriatic.
What is a “spray deck,” and do I have to wear one?
A spray deck is a flexible, waterproof skirt that covers the kayak opening to keep your legs dry and water out of the boat. It’s great for staying dry, but we usually hang them out for more experienced paddlers.
Food, Drink & Health
I have dietary restrictions. Can I still eat the snacks?
Absolutely. While our Sunset Tour traditionally features local cheese and anchovy canapés and “Klašun” pastries, we are happy to accommodate. Please let us know 24 hours in advance if you require vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options.
How much water should I bring?
Hydration is key! We recommend a minimum of 1.5 liters per person. While we stop at various islands, there aren’t always shops or taps available, so it’s best to come fully stocked.
Don’t worry—before every tour, we send a quick check-in to all our guests to gather your info and preferences so we can make sure you’re all set! ????
Logistics & Gear
Where and when do we start?
Our tours typically start at 09:00 or 16:30/16:00/15:30 from our base in Tatinja Bay, Lumbarda.
You can find our exact location on Google Maps right here: Spirit of Korkyra Meeting Point
Do you offer pickups?
Yes! If you aren’t staying in Lumbarda, we can arrange or pick you up in front of your hotel (Korčula town area, Žrnovo village, etc).
Need to find the pickup spot?
You can view the exact location of the Korčula town bus station on Google Maps here: Main Bus Station Pickup Link. Just let us know in advance if you need a lift!
What should I wear on my feet?
You will definitely get your feet wet! We recommend sandals with straps (like Teva/Keen/Chacos) or any water shoes. If you do not have them, flip-flops are okay.
Is there a place to leave my “land clothes”?
Yes! While we provide dry bags for your camera, phone, and towels/spare clothes to take with you, you can also leave your non-essential bags and dry clothes locked on shore.
Life on the Islands
Will we actually see the wild deer?
On the Bits of History (whole or half-day tour) or Sunset Tour, we visit Badija Island, famous for its fallow deer. They are quite friendly and often come down to the shore to say hello! While they are wild animals and we can’t “guarantee” a meeting, they are very active during our visiting hours.
Is snorkeling gear provided?
We focus on kayaking and history, but we always have time for a swim! We recommend bringing your own mask and snorkel if you want to explore the underwater world at the “surprise stops”—the clarity of the water near the islets is incredible.
Safety & Weather
What happens if it rains or is too windy?
Your safety is our priority. If the wind (like the Maestral, Bura, or Jugo) is too strong, we may reschedule the tour or offer a full refund. We monitor the forecast hourly and will contact you as early as possible if things look a bit “choppy.”
Are there bathrooms on the route?
Facilities are limited once we are out on the smaller islets. There are restrooms in some restaurants and bars on some of the islands, but we recommend using the facilities at home before the tour!
Booking & Payments
How can I pay for my tour*?
We offer several convenient ways to pay:
- Cash: We accept Euros on the day of the tour.
- Online: Via pay-by-link with your credit or debit card.
- Bank Transfer: We can send you an invoice with IBAN details for payment
